- Larvae and Cocoons: Eggs hatch into larvae, which develop and spin camouflaged silken cocoons.
- Emergence: Adult fleas remain in the cocoon until they sense a host. The full life cycle can take about one month in summer.
- Reproduction: Female fleas can live up to two years, laying around 1,000 eggs in that time.
